Packing Avocados, Apples, Bananas, and Pears in lunches

One of the most common questions I get on Alice's lunch pictures is how I keep her avocados, apples, and so on from turning brown before she gets to eat them. Answer: a little lemon or lime juice.  Just a sprinkle over the goods, cover, and I give a little shake to distribute the juice and the fruits are just a lovely and colorful at lunch time as they were when I packed them.
